Paul Hospenthal, PT, ATC, CSCS
Paul is a licensed physical therapist, certified athletic trainer, and certified strength and conditioning specialist, who has trained athletes in all major sports. He has traveled with the PGA Tour to more than 100 golf tournaments worldwide, including The Masters, The PGA Championship, The U.S. Open, and The British Open. Some of the world's greatest golfers participate in these tournaments. These are athletes who push their physical abilities to the limit, and are often in need of therapy.
In 1993, Paul opened The Desert Institute of Physical Therapy in Scottsdale, Arizona, for amateur and professional athletes, and for other persons who believe they can benefit from physical therapy. He also continues to travel with the Oakland Athletics baseball team, and tours with professional golfers on a limited basis. In addition, he devotes some of his time to public speaking engagements, focusing on fundamental fitness exercises, and stretching and strengthening techniques.
Paul also wrote for Golf Magazine and has contributed to a number of other publications, including Golf for Dummies. He founded "Golf Fitness," a company committed to increasing golfers' performance, and to improving the best piece of equipment they have - their bodies.
